    Best IPTV set-top boxes

    Hi all,

I am new on this forum, I would like to ask about the actual IPTV devices - set-top boxes. What are the best? What are the criterias to make a choise? Do they have an Internet browser inside or you need to provide a full URL to the stream?

Where to buy set-top boxes in Canada? Where is better to buy them over the Internet?

Is there some guidelines regarding how to choose a set-tip box on the Internet?

    Please advise.

    Thanks a lot

    Oleksiy

    Thanks for your reply.

Where can I buy it over the Internet or in Canada?

I searched the Internet - I could not even find a price.... strange.

    Thanks

    Re: Best IPTV set-top boxes

My first post. Set top boxes are one way to view iptv.  You could also use a computer-based application to view iptv.  You may find that you need servers with a/v inputs and encoders on your network to distribute iptv.  You might need an analog a/v source for each iptv stream that you want to make available to your network.  And the source providers may be sensitive to the number of potential viewers of their content that you could have on your network so that's a consideration. Yeah internet browsers are inside.  'The best' is open to debate/opinion/experience.  Given some infrastructure, Amino 110's do the job at value pricing, but then there is much more to it than just value pricing! Criteria to make a choice, how deep are your pockets?  How many channels do you want to stream?  How patient is your iptv user base? How much time in a work week can you devote to administration?  Can you handle downtime? Are you one person wanting to view iptv or do you have a group of people that you want to provide iptv to?  Don't know where to buy in Canada, but you should be able to buy an Amino online.  Good luck Oleksly.
